About Max Verago
Classical art and sculpture are among my strongest sources of inspiration. I am drawn to their sense of form, depth and storytelling, and I bring these qualities into my work as a tattoo artist.
My work is not tied to one theme. Alongside classical art I work with Japanese-inspired motifs, Chicano influences and whatever you bring. What connects every project is the composition: one coherent form that flows across the body.
I create individual tattoos as well as sleeves, back pieces, leg projects and other large-scale work. Nine years in, I have learned one thing: you give me the direction and the idea — I create the beautiful drawing, that is my job.
The process
Every project starts with a conversation, not with a finished design. Tell me what you like and where the tattoo should sit.

Idea & references
You do not need a finished concept. Tell me what you like, where the tattoo should sit and send a few references — even if it is only a rough direction. If you like my work, we will find the right motif together.
- 02
Direction & sketch
For large projects (sleeve, back, leg) I send you a preliminary direction about a week before. That is a sketch, not a finished design: it shows the direction of our future work. The final drawing is made in the studio.

Final drawing & start
On the day we adjust proportions and details together to your anatomy. You see the final drawing, we agree on it – then we start.

Sessions & aftercare
How many sessions it takes becomes clear as we work. After every session you get a clear aftercare guide. Full aftercare instructions
